Tabletop Minis on the Cheap
July 10th, 2011 - Looking for an inexpensive way to cover your battlemat with an invading horde of Lowmen or just need some new player characters figs since you all stumbled into that creature's lair and had to roll up a whole new party. Well, look no further than the Gold Dragon Horde website (danddminis.com).
They deal almost exclusively in plastic miniatures designed for that other game, but who's to say that you can't use them for any game you like. I can speak from personal experience that when I travel to conventions to run Shroud of the Ancients demos and adventures, I take these little fellas because they are hard to break (which is great when traveling) and they are light (another bonus when traveling).
Here's a few more tips direct from their own Facebook page to help you save more money when you order from Gold Dragon Horde (pretty cool of them, by the way)
1. Select Standard 1st Class Mail instead of the default Priority (average savings of $4 per order -based on previous 3 month history), 2. Use coupon code NOCARDS to opt out of stat cards & get discounted pricing
3. Sign up for our newsletter & follow us on Twitter for sale announcements, 4. Take advantage of our "Referral Bonus Program", 5. Take Advantage of our "Low Price Guarantee
Just and F.Y.I., this fig here is only $1.70. Pay them a visit and stock up

Shroud of the Ancients Launches Kickstarter Page to Gain Gamer Support
December 23rd, 2011 - Dark Tavern press is seeking support for their Shroud of the Anceints D5 RPG (due out next spring) and they are using the Kickstarter Project Site to raise funds for production of the game. According to the site, 50% of the funds pledged will be devoted to artwork alone and when you see some of artist Albert Debnam's work, you'll understand why. The Shroud of the Ancients RPG is powered by the D5 system, which was well received at the conventions last year, and soon it will be available to all. Pledges can be as low as $10 (which gets you an electronic download of the game).
