Game Design Goodness Ensues for Dark Tavern Press
July 1st, 2014 - As of right now, we are putting the finishing touches on the editing for The Adventurer's Guide to the World of Terrath. We had a couple of family emergencies that put a hold on things for a few weeks, now we are back on track and in the process of playtesting some of the last minute suggestions that were sent in by our Kickstarter supporters. The overall changes we are looking at are minor in scope, but could have a noticeable impact on game play, so we will let you know if any of these make the cut.

We have also been prepping material for the game master's book for the Shroud of the Ancients D5RPG called The Shroudmaster's Guide to the World of Terrath. Luckily most of this material has developed organically as we continue to playtest the latest iteration of the game.

Last, but not least, we have several ideas on the back burner, including the possibility of a board game based the world of Terrath, a card game exploring  the seedy underworld of the realm of Aegis, a sci-fi role-playing game using the D5RPG rules set, and a few other surprises that we need to keep under our hats for the time being. So, for now, keep playing and sending us your feedback
Play Unplugged Reviews Adventurer's Guide Premiere Edition - Parts 1 & 2
July 23rd, 2014 - Matt Snodgrass posted part one of his review for The Shroud of the Ancients: Adventurer's Guide to Terrath Premiere Edition on playunplugged.com.earlier this month Luckily for us, he had a lot of great things to say. He just posted  part 2 and he had some awesome observations about our magic system.

The good news is that from the Premiere Edition (essentially, our beta edition of the rules) to the current iteration that we are working on, we have clarified some of the text, reorganized tables and made a few tweaks to the rules based on playtest feedback. So, it's just going to get better. Frankly, we can't wait to get it out to our fans and new players as well. In the meantime, see what Matt has to say by clicking on the link below.
